Incident Management Team

Lynda Mance, LCSW, CAC-I, CEAP, CCR

 

Lynda Mance, LCSW is the Executive Director of Incident Management Team of Florida, Inc.. She provides high risk leadership consultations, course development and training on violence prevention, crisis recovery, threat assessments and counseling for victims of trauma. She is an international lecturer, a presenter and trainer in the areas of workplace violence, prevention, personal safety strategies, crisis response and organizational change

 

Ms. Mance was also the Coordinator for the Center for Workplace Violence Prevention which received a State of Michigan Department of Labor Safety, Education and Training funded grant. This grant’s purpose is to help corporations, employers and governmental entities develop violence prevention policies, procedures and response systems; threat assessment teams, post-incident crisis response teams and contingency plans.

  

She is presently a member of the Jacksonville, Florida  Disaster Preparedness Team and is a volunteer with the Northeast Florida Crisis Response Team. Recently she has been commissioned to the Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team, (DMAT-FL-4) as a mental health specialist under Homeland Security..

 

Lynda has spent most of her career working with issues of violence prevention, education and interventions in crisis situations. She has demonstrated a leadership role in over 200 critical incident responses. Lynda held an integral part in “Lifeline”, a specialized emergency response service launched by the Police Officer Association of Michigan and has also been a key responder for such organizations as Nextel, Kroger, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Daimler Chrysler’s Critical Incident Team and several others.

 

Lynda received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and graduated with a Master’s degree, Suma Cum Lade, in Organizational Social Work from Wayne State University. Ms. Mance is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Certified Addiction Counselor, and Certified Crisis Responder. She is a certified trainer for the National Organization of Victims Association for crisis recovery.  Lynda is also trained in the Mitchell model as well as aviation crisis recovery. She has trained in basic and advanced EMDR techniques for individuals trauma recovery.
