Incident Management Team

Wynonia Ward, MA. L.P.C., CAC-I

 

Wynonia Ward, M.A., L.P.C., is Program Director for the Incident Management Team. She is responsible for developing and implementing programs in areas including Violence Prevention, a Threat Management, Post-Incident Crisis Recovery, Cultural Diversity, Organizational Consultation and Employee Assistance Services.  She has conducted numerous presentations on Threat Management, Stress Management, Conflict Resolution, Diffusing the Difficult Individual and Personal Safety Strategies. She is a Violence Prevention Consultant to Center for Workplace Violence Prevention, funded by the State of Michigan, and to the City of Detroit for whom she is conducting Workplace Violence Awareness Training to both the City's Threat Response Teams and to over 4000 City supervisors.

 

Ms. Ward has coordinated On-Site Critical Incident Debriefing Teams and has responded to a numerous traumatic events including shootings, industrial accidents, suicides and workplace fatalities.  Some of the clients for whom she has performed crisis intervention / consultation services include UAW-DaimlerChrysler, Henry Ford Hospital, Krogers, Accident Fund of Michigan, Citizens Insurance Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Detroit Mercy Hospital, Fairlane Medical Center, Southfield Public Schools, Eaton Corporation, Naritis Pharmaceutical Company, American Axle, 3M, Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, City of Royal Oak, and the Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM).

 

Previously, Ms. Ward was the Interim Director of the Henry Ford Health System Employee Assistance Program (EAP) covering over 28,000 clients.  She has specific expertise in the areas of client diagnosis, case management, HIV/Aids counseling, employee fitness for duty evaluations, staff training, individual, family and group counseling.  She has orchestrated numerous departmental constructive interventions with troubled employees in conjunction with supervisors, union representatives, managers and company human resources directors.

 

Ms. Ward has over 25 years of experience in the human service field. She has also worked with Neighborhood Services Organization, Michigan State University and Spectrum Human Services.

She has a Bachelor of Arts Degrees and a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Michigan State University and received Honors in both academic programs. She is a Licensed Professional with the State of Michigan and a Certified Addictions Counselor.
