About the Training:
Recent Active Assailant attacks at Houses of Worship have caused fear, anger and sadness. The nature of Houses of Worship as open sanctuaries of peace, acceptant and safety, has been challenged by violent incidents pointing out their vulnerabilities to aggressive perpetrators. This program is designed to encourage Houses of Worship to understand vulnerabilities to threats, aggressive assailants, litigation exposures. Strategies to review and enhance safety programs, capabilities and preparedness to react to active intruders / shooters will be discussed.
To respond to the threat of intruders, Houses of Worship have been implementing protective plans to protect their congregations, clergy, teachers, staff, students, volunteers and stakeholders.
This seminar will focus on:
- Helping Houses of Worship to understand "best practices"
- Developing strategies to prepare for, train to survive, and recover from active assailant violent incidents
