Radford W. Jones
 
Secret Service, Retired

In 1983, Rad retired from the U.S. Secret Service as the Special Agent in Charge of the Michigan Division.  During his 21-year career, he was in charge of the Seattle, Washington and Alaska operations, served as a Supervisor in a number of Secret Service Field Offices and Headquarters divisions.  

He joined Ford Motor Company as Manager of Global Security and Fire Protection responsible for Global Activities in Investigations, Executive Security, Guard Administration, and Fire/Security Alarm Technology.  He implemented a Corporate Wide Crisis Management Program, Worldwide Card Access Control System, Barcode Fire Inspection System, and a Global Fire/Security Central Station. 

 

Rad is a Life Member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and serves on their International Managers of Police and Academic Trainers and the Private Sector Liaison Committee, where he Chairs the Emergency Management Subcommittee. He is member of the American Society for Industrial Security and a Life Member of the International Security Managers Association. He is an alumni member of the U.S. State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council that was created in 1985 by President Reagan, to protect corporations and their personnel overseas.

Michael A. Crane, Esq., CPP, CFE

IMT National / Global Security Coordinator, Chicago, Illinois

Michael A. Crane is an Illinois licensed attorney and private detective. He specializes in conducting security and behavioral threat assessments and workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, criminal activity and threats of violence.

 

He was the National Task Force Committee Editor for the publication of the 2020 National ANCI Standard on Workplace Violence Prevention and Active Shooter Protocols, published by the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 

 

Mr. Crane participated in the FBI Critical Incident Response Group’s Workplace Violence Planning Meeting held at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  He was later invited to attend the FBI’s Violence in the Workplace Symposium held in Leesburg, Virginia.  This select group of law enforcement and private security leaders helped direct the FBI’s efforts in workplace violence education, prevention and response leading to the publication of the FBI’s monograph, Workplace Violence-Issues in Response.

 

From 2014-2017, Mr. Crane was Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel at Hillard Heintze, an international security risk management and investigation firm based in Chicago, IL .

Rick Colliver

IMT Senior Security Consultant

For the last seven years, Rick has worked with IMT as a Senior Security Consultant. Previously, he was the Global Chief Security Officer for Eaton Corporation developing the security roadmap for over 100,000 employees in 24 time zones. He organized Global Training Initiatives, Executive Protection Teams and Global Travel Security.  . Rick has major experience in protecting people and assets on national and global levels.  He is the Editor of a book on Executive Protection and author of other security articles.

J. Branch Walton

Secret Service, Retired

Mr. Walton retired from the U. S. Secret Service after 21 years serving on three Presidential Details and retiring as Field Office Special Agent in Charge.  He was the Division Chief at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).

 

As past Chief of Management, Institute and Branch Chief of Security Specialties Division at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Branch developed and presented individualized in-service training programs for management level personnel of all federal law enforcement agencies. He was the Program Specialist, Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee, Dept. of Justice - U.S. Attorney's Office where he conducted community and law enforcement training needs assessment, program development and presentations.  He was Liaison for U.S. Attorney and law enforcement community in the Federal Central District of Illinois.       

Mark Brenzinger, Psy.D.
 
IMT Forensic Psychologist

Mark is a Licensed Clinical and Certified Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. Mark has conducted thousands of indirect threat assessments and direct risk evaluations with adult and adolescent male and female subjects. He has worked with clients that range from Fortune-500 companies, mid-sized corporations, government agencies, academic institutions and private individuals.

Jerry Miller, MA. 

IMT TEAM

After Jerry retired from the Detroit Police Department at the rank of Commander, he became the Executive Director of Security for the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) with over 13,000 staff. His responsibilities included the Centralization and Coordination of all Security Services for the six major subsidiary hospitals of the DMC. 

 

He was also the Senior Manager in Charge of International and Special Security Operations for Chrysler Corporation and developed Chrysler’s Global Crisis Management Program. While in this position, his responsibilities included Internal Investigations, Executive Protection, Security and Fire Engineering Systems, Crisis Management Operations, and International Security Operations. At Chrysler, he developed and implemented a Corporate Wide Crisis Management Plan that represented a benchmark for the industry.

Gary Sikorski

IMT Senior Security Consultant

Since 2010, Gary has been a Trainer and Consultant to IMT in the areas of Active Shooter Survival, Victim Avoidance, Street Survival, Security Vulnerability / Asset Protection, and Verbal Diffusion / De-Escalation Techniques. Mr. Sikorski is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (FBINA 2014) and Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.  He has been in law enforcement trainer, police academy instructor, and subject-matter-expert for the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES).  He specializes in the areas of Event Planning Security, Executive Protection, Threat Assessment, Active Shooter Preparedness / Exercises, and Visitor Management / Emergency Alert Systems.

Walter Szcubialka
 
IMT Videographer / Producer / Director

Walter is an "Emmy Award Winning" videographer for his work in the CBS Educational Show entitled: “Innovation Nation". He was a Cameraman in the CBS 60 Minutes Documentary on the Airport Bombings in Europe.

 

Walter has produced many video programs for Fortune 500 companies on health and safety projects. He has produced two Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Management videos for Michigan OSHA.  He produced a global Active Shooter Video program for HEICO Companies, Williams International and Trinity Health Services. With IMT, he produced,   The Royal Oak Post Office Active Shooter Training Video that was shown by the U.S. Postal Service, nationwide.

 

Since 1985, he has provided video production services to network television shows on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Discovery Channel, FOX, HBO, Nightline, HGTV and for General Motors, Ford, Chrysler and the Detroit Medical Center.

Eric Barnes, MA. MS

Professor Barnes is the Director of Intelligence Analysis at the Center of Cyber Security and Intelligence Studies (CCSIS) at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM). He is also a Professor of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Security Administration at UDM. He consults in the areas of Homeland Security, Counter –Terrorism, Criminal Profiling and Threat Assessment. He has presented at conferences sponsored by the FBI, CIA, and Department of Homeland Security. He consults with Fortune 500 Companies and governmental entities. He was a former Deputy Police Chief for the Detroit Police Department.

Kathy L. Bolmer, PhD

IMT Organizational Psychologist

Dr. Bolmer has worked extensively with the United States Postal Service (USPS) in a variety of engagements which have included emergency intervention, threat assessment and assistance during the first downsizing in USPS’s 200-year history, providing employee assistance, focus groups, supervisor counseling, organizational strategy and crisis intervention.  She has assisted IMT Team, with IMT’s contract with Southern California Edison to conduct an organizational assessment interviewing over 3000 employees.

Al Shenouda, MPA

IMT Senior Security Coordinator

Before his affiliation with IMT, Mr. Shenouda was the former Federal Protective Security Advisor assigned to Eastern District of Michigan from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Protection and Programs Directorate. He was a former Senior DHS Headquarters Field Director and was the DHS Department’s Chief Antiterrorism, Preparedness, and Risk Officer. He was responsible for securing critical infrastructure from physical, cyber and human threats. He helped in national disaster recovery operations by coordinating activities with federal, state, local authorities and private sector officials.

IMT Threat Assessment / Executive Protection Coordinator

Former Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation assigned to                                                             

 

Tampa, Florida, Richmond, Virginia, Denver, Colorado, Chuck supervised and managed FBI agents in the field and directed the operations of the Boulder, CO FBI office. He was a Tactical Team Leader for FBI Special Weapons Team (SWAT) and provided anti-terrorism protection for Olympic venues.

Thomas R. Mynsberge

Michigan State Police, Retired

Tom is a 27-year veteran of the Michigan State Police (MSP) and a 20-year veteran of the MSP Emergency Support Team.  He is an expert in SWAT operations, hazardous materials and explosive response. He specializes in Threat Assessment, conducting Desktop and Full Scale Disaster and Active Shooter Exercises. He has consulted with Fortune 500 companies, educational, governmental and healthcare organizations, insurance companies and houses of worship. He has worked with Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, General Motors, Chrysler, Daimler, University of Michigan, Butterworth Hospital and Ascension Providence Healthcare.

Ms. McWhorter has more than 25 years’ experience in the area of business management, innovation, and e-learning curriculum development. She has designed instructional learning systems and programs for clients including General Motors, Chrysler, The City of Detroit, MGM Grand Casino, Ford Motor Car Company, Budd Company, IPAX, The Detroit Public Schools, and many federal and state agencies. 

Sanford Altschul

As a Pandemic Content Expert and Professional Emergency Manager, Sanford has provided Emergency Preparedness/Management, Pandemic planning and consultation to organizations including Little Caesars, Detroit Tigers/Comerica Park, Detroit Red Wings, Little Caesars Arena, Bedrock Realty, Freidman Real Estate, Detroit Grand Prix, City of Detroit, Department of Homeland Security/Emergency Management and the Heico Companies (global).

 

Sanford Altschul has four decades of training, experience and leadership dealing with Hazardous Materials, Emergency Operating Centers, Access and Functional Needs, Nuclear Power Emergency Operations, Multi-Agency Coordination, Mass Casualty/Fatality, Pandemic, K-12 Emergency Operations.  Sanford has been working with Emergency Management agencies, trade organizations, domestic and international partners and local Emergency Management agencies. 

 

As the Deputy Director, Wayne County Chief Executive Office/Emergency Management, and as Assistant Director, Emergency Management Division, Wayne County Airport Authority, Sanford has been engaged in public, private, non-profit, education and healthcare sectors. He has worked with National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), FBI, Michigan State Police, Department of Homeland Security, Michigan Department of Health, US Secret Service, US Postal Service, Region 2 South Medical Coalition, National Weather Service and local, state and National Emergency Management agencies.

For 20 years, Mike was the Director and Chief Security Officer for DTE Energy (Detroit Edison) and its 10,000 employees.  He was responsible for DTE Energy Enterprise Physical Security, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Investigations, Regulatory Compliance, Executive Protection and Media Communications. He oversaw DTE Energy’s physical security for their nuclear reactor facility.   

 

He is an Expert on Nuclear Energy Insider Threat and Critical Infrastructure Protection. He was on Multi-Agency Task Forces with the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Defense (DOD), to protect the nation’s grid from terrorism. He was Vice Chair of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection Group, Chair Person of the Edison Electric Institute Security Committee and author of NERC’s Severe Impact Resiliency Task Force Physical Security Plan for Catastrophic Events to North America’s Electric Grid. In 2007, he was a Security Consultant for Detroit NFL Super Bowl Preparations.

For almost 20 years, Kai M. Joy has been providing investigative, protective and consulting services specializing in matters related to threats to people and organizations. He assists Fortune 500 companies, HR Directors, executives and high-net-worth individuals and their families to investigate various threats and implement risk mitigation strategies.  He has conducted vulnerability assessments, developed and implemented safety and security programs for celebrities and companies with global footprints.

Bob has had a significant legal career in the public and corporate sectors. Since retiring from General Motors Legal Staff, he has been Counsel to the Automotive Industry Logistics Steering Committee. 

 

From 1968 -2001, he was with the General Motors Legal Staff, specializing in antitrust matters and he headed up the GM Practice Group for several years prior to retirement. 

 

From 1993-2001, he served as Special Assistant to the General Counsel of GM, handling numerous sensitive matters of an enterprise risk management nature in a leadership capacity. These included assessment of and implementation of change in GM Corporation’s Safety Policy; the Corporation’s relationship to subsidiaries; performance of the Corporation as industry product safety leader; and the review of GM’s Small-Car Manufacturing capability. This led to the precedent-setting GM-Toyota Joint Venture.

 

From 1997-1998, he was Chairman, Section of Antitrust Law, American Bar Association. The Section, comprised of 12,000 members, is recognized as the pre-eminent source of continuing legal education and scholarship for antitrust lawyers and economists throughout the world. He has been a member of the Florida Bar; State Bar of Michigan; American Bar Association; and Legal Services Corporation of South Florida.

 

From 1962-1968, Bob was with the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. 

 

He has been admitted to practice in Florida, Michigan, Ohio and has been before the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Offrink has conducted on-site crisis intervention responses for Fortune 500 companies, FEMA, communities after mass disasters, public entities, emergency first responders, schools and police departments. In 2007, he received the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Region V (5) Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team’s (DMORT) Commander’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Team.  He has provided stress management and other services to DMORT after hurricanes in 2004 and 2005.

 

He was an Illinois certified Advanced Fire Fighter (III) and certified Advanced Fire Fighter Instructor (II), IL EMT-A, last appointed rank, Deputy Chief, Elwood Fire Protection District, Elwood, IL.  He has extensive experience in Hazmat emergencies, crisis debriefing, on-site crisis response, demobilization and mass casualty management and recovery.

Ms. Ward has conducted training in Workplace Violence Prevention, Threat Management, Verbal Diffusion, Personal Safety, Patient Restraint Techniques and Crisis Management after Violent and Critical Incidents. She has trained corporations, hospitals, unions and schools in strategies to establish workplace violence prevention programs and manage potentially violent employees, customers, patients or contractors.  

 

At the Henry Ford Healthcare System, she was the Program Manager, EAP Services, serving more than 22,000 employees, 1,000 physicians, over 37 locations throughout Southeast Michigan.  Ms. Ward has provided on-site crisis response after shootings, industrial accidents and workplace emergences for Fortune 500 Companies, banks, police departments, schools and health care facilities.   She received her BA and MA Degrees from Michigan State University.
